Descrizione

The author has mainly analysed the Latin manuscript about Ragazzoni’s visit to the diocese of Cagli, kept at the Vatican Secret Archives. He has also examined other 16 th-17th century sources deposited in the Barberini collection of the Vatican Apostolic Library, in the Council collection of the University Library of Urbino, in the ancient collection of the “Oliveriana” Library of Pesaro and of the Council historical Library of Cagli. Besides having analysed these documents, he also used records coming from local sources (the municipal, episcopal, chancellery archives of Cagli and the diocesan administration archives of Gubbio).
